Our first official event will be a plein air painting competition taking place August 10-16, 2025, in Burlington, IA.
What is plein air painting? In short, it's painting outdoors. Artists take their paints, canvases and easels and set up outside to paint. Some simply say, outdoor painting.
An outdoor painting competition means artists will come into your community to paint and compete for prizes and awards.
