Day 3 June 17th 9-4PM

Making a Mark: Soft Pastel Workshop with John Evans.  John has won several awards at area plein air competitions.  You'll be learning from one of the best in the area.

Here is John's suggested materials list.  Bring whatever you have for pastels.  Beginners may want to purchase a basic set of Rembrandt pastels which can be found at Blick.  Another source is Cindy's Art Beat in Fairfield.

Sanded paper-many brands. I use most of them.  They are expensive but a dream to work with. You can also go to the hardware store and get 400 grit sandpaper and it works great but not archival.

Drawing board, easel, masking tape, vine charcoal, charcoal pencil, bug spray, wet wipes or a wet washcloth in a baggy (for your hands), paper towels.
